When choosing a coupling, the choice of whether the shaft hole has a counterbore depends mainly on whether the shaft can have axial movement, whether it needs axial tension or installation space and other factors.

There are three types of shaft holes in the coupling: Y type, J type, and Z type.

The Y-shaped shaft hole is a long cylindrical shaft hole.

J-type shaft hole is divided into J-type and J1 type, J-type is short cylindrical shaft hole with counterbore, J1 type is short cylindrical shaft hole without counterbore.

Z-type shaft holes are divided into Z-type and Z1 type, Z-type is a short conical shaft hole with counterbore, Z1 type is a short conical shaft hole without counterbore.
