Shaft Coupling for Compressors

High-speed multi-cylinder refrigerators generally do not use triangle belt transmission, but generally use couplings. There are two main types of couplings:

1.Elastic coupling with flywheel: the elastic coupling used in 8Asl7 compressors. It is mainly composed of a compressor-side coupling (equivalent to a flywheel), a middle-indirect cylinder, a motor-side coupling, a pin and an elastic ring. The coupling on the motor shaft drags the middle and indirect cylinders through bolts, and the middle and indirect cylinders drag the compressor side coupling (flywheel) through the pin and the elastic ring to drive the compressor to rotate. This coupling has a certain cushioning and shock absorption effect.

When installing the coupling, the cold storage compressor is generally fixed on the foundation in advance, and only the position of the motor is adjusted to maintain its concentricity. When adjusting, first fix the dial indicator to the coupling on the compressor side, the dial indicator contacts on the outer surface of the middle and indirect cylinder, then rotate the motor shaft, according to the deflection reflected on the dial indicator Adjust the left and right and high and low positions of the motor.

This coupling has a simple structure and is easy to adjust.

2.Removable flexible coupling: When checking and repairing compressor failures, the coupling must be frequently disassembled, especially for large refrigeration equipment, and sometimes the position of the motor needs to be readjusted, which is a lot of work. For the convenience of assembly and maintenance, small and medium compressors, especially small compressors, often use detachable couplings. Detachable coupling structure. The coupling on the motor shaft drives the transmission group through two large bolts. The transmission group takes two transmission plates as the main body, and is composed of four transmission blocks and connecting bolts. Two of the transmission blocks are connected to the motor-side coupling through an elastic ring to transmit power; the other two transmission blocks are compressed in the same way The machine-side coupling is connected to drive the compressor to rotate. When disassembling, as long as the middle four bolts are removed, the middle transmission group can be removed, which is very convenient.
